Reflection on Discussion leader

I had a great time working on this assignment with Skype.  It taught me alot about not being afraid of technology and anything you break can be fixed.  My mom and aunt were excited to be part of the process of my class project in the demonstration that I did for my classmates. I think they were more nervous about it than I was because they are worried about not being up to date with the latest technology and making sure that it works properly.  As I look back, there were a couple of questions that came up that I was not prepared for that I wish I would have researched more.  Everyone was very good at asking questions and curious about the technology and how it worked.  Ishould have built into the presentation, for the classmates that did not get to see a demo, a “fake demo” into the powerpoint slides.

My grandad was supposed to be part of the demonstration as well and we went through a test run the night before and everything worked just fine.  The day of the presentation, we could not get his computer to work, don’t you just love technology?  ugh!

All in all I think it went pretty well and I hope my classmates learned something out of it.

Discussion Leader on Social Networks and Technology

I had fun making this and learning about the technology.  There is so much you can do with technology.  I wish that I had a month to sit in front of the computer and play with all of the different settings of the new programs that I have been introduced to.  Between Myspace, Facebook, WordPress, and Skype, I don’t think I will ever be able to give up technology and social networking sites.
